Rememberance Day

A few images form Dieppe, Vimmy Ridge, and Pointe du Hoc respectively. I can not describe in words what it was like to stand at these locations...I hope my photography speaks for itself.

Great shots of the old battle fields! Just in time for remembrance day! Well done DArcy!

The Ode of Remembrance:
They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

D'Arcy-

Excellent tribute. I love your monochrome work and you did an excellent job at capturing the loneliness of this sacred place. We will never forget.
